The Connect Midlands InvoRed programme is being rebranded in the East Midlands as part of the Governments’ national Solutions for Business suite of business support.

The programme, which will now be known as Understanding Finance for Business, will be available regionally across the country from April 2010.

John Griffiths, Connect Midlands’ Director commented ”Understanding Finance for Business has grown out of the Connect InvoRed investment readiness programme, developed and delivered by Connect Midlands with great success since 2003 with the support of emda and AWM. The impact of the InvoRed programme has been so significant that the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has used it as a blueprint for Understanding Finance for Business across the UK. It is good to know that businesses across the country will benefit from best practice developed in the Midlands.”

Understanding Finance for Business will follow the same format as the Connect InvoRed programme, offering Amber Stream workshops  and events, Green Stream mentoring and assistance and culminating in various investment showcases, most notably the Connect Midlands Investment Conference.
