Connect Midlands provides workshops, coaching and support to companies in the Midlands who are seeking to raise finance or investment. We use respected industry experts, including Venture Capital fund managers, to deliver courses, ensuring you receive only the best information.

Connect Midlands run a programme of workshops and seminars which aim to cover the key topics that every new business needs to succeed. This portfolio includes:

Some of these seminars and events are only accessible through the Investment Readiness programme known as InvoRed. Connect Midlands use respected industry experts, including Venture Capital fund managers, to deliver courses, ensuring you receive only the best information.

Connect Midlands InvoRed

The Connect InvoRed programme provides support, advice and information to help your business to become ‘Investment Ready’. There are two levels to the programme known as the Amber stream and the Green stream.

The Amber stream is for early stage companies seeking seed, start up or growth funding for the first time and who need to become ‘Investment Ready’. The aim of this steam is to develop an underlying business case over a series of workshops and to create a powerful investment proposal.

The Green stream is an accelerated programme for businesses that already have a business plan, understand the needs of investors, and are committed to gaining finance and understanding the needs of investors. Our one-to-one coaching is carried out by experienced mentors, who have previously raised or invested money themselves, helping companies to gain the inside track and greatly increasing the chances of successfully gaining funding.

To become a part of the InvoRed programme and access the workshops and support you will need to provide Connect Midlands with some additional information. The programme is only open to Midlands based businesses and eligibility can vary. In some cases costs may apply. Please contact Connect Midlands for more details.

Investment Showcase Events

In addition to the programme of workshops and seminars, Connect Midlands also organise showcasing events where businesses can pitch to investors and angels for investment.

The flagship event of the Connect Midlands calendar is the Connect Midlands Investment Conference. If you think you are investment ready and are seeking between £250k - £5 million this could be the event for you. Read the information sheet for more details.

Connect Midlands also runs a number of events for companies who are looking for smaller amounts of investment, typically up to £500k. These events are known as Springboard events. If you think you have what it takes to present at the next Springboard event read the information sheet.

Throughout the year Connect Midlands also run a series of smaller scale events with targeted groups of investors.
